We are a team of skilled and dedicated people passionate about the web and how we can use technology to make life and business better. We develop and maintain our own products as well as providing bespoke design and development services to our clients – you will be making an impact on both, right from day one.
We encourage learning, idea sharing, discussion and experimentation, and we support our team in their personal development too.
That’s why we expect each of our developers to spend 10% of their time researching new technologies and trying them out. How can you be expected to keep up with the fast paced world of technology if you can only research new things on your lunch break? Work with us and you’ll be spending at least half a day each week learning new things. We regularly attend conferences and events both in the UK and abroad, including The Web Summit in Dublin and Laracon EU in Amsterdam.
At Codemakers you will meet technical challenges and solve problems for vastly different organisations, large and small. One day you might be working on a startup venture, the next for a large corporate, the next for a charity. No two days are the same; you quickly see the results of the work you are doing and the impact it makes on our clients.
That’s why working at Codemakers is different.
You’ll be working with highly passionate and knowledgeable people – all our team members are experts in their respective fields and we only hire the best. We are looking for team players, positive and passionate, with an obsessive eye for detail in both ideas and execution.
We pride ourselves in the high standard of work we produce and you’ll be able to have a direct and positive impact on projects from the get-go. We continually strive to improve and refine our processes, raising the bar for both our products and client projects. We strive to make each project our best yet and you will have a direct and important input into all our output.
You’ll get a new Mac of your choice to play with, and you’ll be given your own learning and development budget to buy textbooks, attend conferences and other events to expand your knowledge and network of like-minded people in our industry.
We also regularly have studio social get-togethers, curries, go-karting and sometimes even the odd beer or two (we even make our own). We have a mountain of fresh fruit and refreshments available for everyone, and every Friday, lunch is free, on us.
At Codemakers you’ll be much more than a (human) resource.
